At the Lehigh Valley P&DC we added a new auto-feed induction system to our APBS which includes a singulator. Currently, the parcels have to be properly faced and oriented so two clerks are working on the induction system platform (the nest) doing this work. The parcels come from the singulator to the clerks on opposite sides of the belt. The clerks orient the mail and it moves to the induct stations.
We are getting complaints about clerks becoming dizzy, woozy or experiencing vertigo like symptoms after working in the “nest” for a period of time.
Have any other offices had this situation arise? If so were you able to abate the problem? I am looking for any input or feedback. Thanks!
