To all:

Per a recent concern from the field and the conversion of PSE to PTF per the 50 mile radius the following is a summary from President Dimondstein which is being provided to clear up any questions or concerns:

50 miles is 50 miles with no differentiation of function of assignment or workplace. We understood that it in some cases there would be overlap to our processing centers as it should be. There are PSEs in P & DC’s without residuals, without many residuals or way down on the list where a conversion in the plant is a hope down a long road. The MOU has led to about 3000 conversions in the Clerk Craft. That leaves 25,000 or so without that conversion opportunity, at least thus far. Obviously the fact that mgt has been delaying the conversions in places makes the educational process and choices of the PSE’s more difficult. The move to PTF in another installation is voluntary and does not affect their relative standing and potential opportunity in their current installation if the transfer opportunity is turned down. In many cases it will be a difficult choice whether to accept it, in other cases maybe an easy choice. Either way we certainly want the PSEs to understand all the implications.

The delays in conversions from the May/June/July posting are being addressed at the HQ level. Mark is willing to assist if necessary.

I have been addressing the issues with Bob Brenker and Debbie Mills when provided the necessary particulars. Any additional concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Please feel free to share with your state and local leaders.

I am confused and concerned. I have not received a letter regarding vacancies within a 50 mile radius.
I have heard that there aren’t any vacancies within my area.
However, I live on a bordering State. What about the vacancies over the line, in the neighboring State?
